Cowboy Jedi

We are just a few thousand views short of the 200,000 site view mark. At this rate, we should cross that impressive boundary in a week or three.

While 200K might not be a lot for some sites, we here at Cowboy Jedi like to occasionally enjoy the pat-yourself-on-the-back moments that come our way. Thanks for all of you regulars who come back, post comments, like us on “Facebook” and send links of your favorite CJ comics to your friends. It makes us very happy!

This has been on our list of chores for quite sometime. In lieu of a comic tomorrow (8/3), we kindly directly your attention to the ‘Who’s Who’ page. All of your favorite characters are there and there are more on the way.

A bittersweet milestone; the 200th and final comic of our sister strip, Rat Tangent. I guess, like the Highlander we will absorb all of its timely, political and scientific humor. Well, maybe just its humor. Be sure to check out Mark’s top ten favorite strips while your over there.

NPR did article about a new book for our kind… The Sounds of Star Wars, by J.W. Rinzler. Probably most of us have heard the history of the organic-sounding special effects created/found by the sound designer Ben Burtt. Anyone who was 50% of R2-D2′s voice is a hero in my book.

Did you know this book plays over 250 sounds? It actually included a earphone jack. Have I convinced you yet? I think I’ve convinced myself.

A member of the vast CJ senior leadership team is getting married this weekend and that means Friday’s (and possibly Monday’s) post is going to be delayed a little.  We promise we will backfill those slots when we get done celebrating. Here is a little sneak peak of the reception…
